Raw Oysters with Freshly Grated Horseradish

Raw Oysters with Freshly Grated Horseradish

I have enjoyed raw oysters my entire life; however, I always ate them with cocktail sauce and a saltine cracker.  I don’t really eat them that often now that I can’t have my cracker…until today.  I will resume my oyster obsession with this very fresh version…and take my advice, the raw oysters with freshly grated horseradish makes all the difference (try it on a steak also ~ divine!!).

Using an oyster knife, shuck your oysters, making sure you cut the muscle that attaches to each shell.  (Watch video here).

Simply grate some fresh horseradish over your oysters.  Put a squirt of your favorite hot sauce (mine is Sriracha).  Squeeze some fresh lemon over each oyster.  Garnish with chopped parsley.  That’s it ~ it’s that simple.

Enjoy!
